DVD Learning Systems

A ten-part DVD series, Steps To Sexual Health, with Douglas Weiss, Ph.D., a leading expert on sexual brokenness, trauma, and abuse. A great series to use with clients who are making poor sexual choices. It includes a complimentary reproducible workbook for your client as she goes through counseling-like sessions. Perfect for one-on-one meetings or in a small group.

A seven-part DVD series, The Blueprint for Sexual Integrity™: God's Design for Life, Love and Legacy, with Carrie Abbott from the Legacy Institute. This Biblical series is the positive foundation for the Sexual Integrity™ Program. The series includes a complimentary reproducible client workbook. This amazing program will change your clients’ lives. It can be used in the center one-on-one, in small groups, in large groups, or at a retreat.

An introduction DVD, An Invitation to Sexual Integrity includes eight minutes of client testimony and clips from each of the above series that will capture your clients attention and make her want to come back for more! Also can be used as a marketing tool for churches and donors.

A three-part DVD staff training series, Focus on Fertility Training Series, with Katy Flood, Heartbeat International’s Sexual Integrity™ Program Specialist and Kathleen McGee, Fertility Educator at Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska. This series is designed to equip pregnancy center staff and volunteers in understanding the need to offer the powerful tool of teaching women how their bodies work.

A four-part DVD series for clients, Focus on Fertility, with Emily Sederstrand, certified fertility educator and Kathleen McGee. This series teaches women the truth of how their bodies work and how to protect this gift of fertility so that they are empowered to reverence and respect their bodies. This series does not teach natural family planning. A complimentary reproducible workbook is included for clients.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I have to purchase the entire Program?

A. No, you don’t have to purchase the entire Program. We strongly recommend that you purchase The Implementation Manual (item #SIP1-0) so that you understand the “big picture” of sexual integrity and how your center can use a variety of tools to reach clients with a message of sexual wholeness. The Implementation Manual has many reproducible worksheets and relationship tests that can be offered to the client on an on-going basis.

Q. Which DVD series do you recommend we start with first?

A. Steps to Sexual Health has been very successful as the first series a client goes through. Since most clients are struggling with making better sexual choices and many clients have some form of sexual trauma in their background they relate very well to Dr. Doug Weiss. If your client has a spiritual foundation, The Blueprint for Sexual Integrity is a good first series since the client will be familiar with the Bible and Scriptures. Focus on Fertility is also a great start for clients. We have heard from centers that they like to start with this series because it is a topic (their own body) that most women, unfortunately, know little about.

Q. Do I need to get formally trained?

A. No, you don’t. But we recommend it. Formal training can happen on-site at your center or at our annual conference. Training will help you understand the bigger picture of sexual integrity, show you how The Sexual Integrity Program works, teach you how to use all of the tools with clients, and give you a good start in implementing the program in your center. Centers have said that formal training has helped equip all of their staff and volunteers feel more confident in working with their clients. Q. Why would I want to focus on fertility?

A. Heartbeat’s definition of fertility education is not natural family planning or helping women achieve or avoid pregnancy. Fertility education is simply teaching a woman how her own body works so that she is empowered to reverence and respect her body. When women understand this powerful gift they are:

more likely to choose life for their baby
more likely to stop premarital sexual activity
more likely to make wiser choices with men
more likely to respect their own bodies
